The lights turn on, the wooden court creaks above you, and the thumping of 10,000 fanatical fans from the locker room. Your heart beat locks into your throat and you squeeze your eyes together. The Eiffel tower and city of Paris are nearby, but tonight there is no compassion or crepes, as you try to beat them, in their city, with their team and their Boston Celtic-like history. The jeers and roars grow. You try to calm yourself. The line moves in front of you as the team walks up the stairs to the court for pre-game. You get pelted with batteries and toilet paper and spit.

A SPALDING NBA basketball lands in your hands and the leather grain rolls along the pads of your fingertips and you remember.

Deep breath. Relax. You are home. You have done this for 12 years.

Scouts watch with notepads. Lenses focus and flutter. The clock ticks down and the fear slowly drains away because of one reason: everything you did in the off-season. Every ball handling drill and basketball dribbling drill. Every shot, every basketball crossover and ball handling wrap done with maximum focus, force, and knowing how far you pushed your aching body day in and day out with the best Basketball Dribbling drills and Ball handling drills.

Your palms stop sweating and you know everything you left on the practice court will be understood by faces under the bright glare of stadium lights.

This is being and living the life of a pro point guard. You must know your ball handling drills and dribbling drills prepare you for this moment-- when preparation collides with opportunity and you know you can play against anyone. Above, I'm going to leave you with a short basketball workout plan I used during my college days and pro playing days.

Constantly change the amount of time per drills between 5-20 seconds and count how many reps you can get. Try to execute long-range and faster small range dribbles. I don't know why kids practice basketball dribbling drills or ball handling drills without a plan of attack. When you step on the court, if you are by yourself or with a training partner/friend, you need to have a workout in your hand and push yourself to reach new goals daily.
